Let Your Light Shine

Living with Jesus' Love and Kindness

The love of Jesus is what sets us apart. In a world filled with division, anger, and selfishness, we are called to be different. Think about Jesus. He didn't just preach love, he lived it. He ate with sinners, healed the sick, and forgave those who hurt him. He went to prostitutes and told them, sin no more. Told them, I forgive you. Go, the love of me shines through you. When he was on the cross, Jesus even said, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. That same love should be what people experience when they meet you. So maybe today you can be that light that someone needs. Maybe there's a co-worker struggling with depression, a family member who feels forgotten, or even a stranger who just needs a kind word. Don't underestimate the power of a smile, a prayer, and an act of kindness through Jesus Christ.

Message from Minister Ibn Ali:

Let Your Light Shine for His Glory

Good morning, family in Christ! I want to share a powerful message with you today—one that will empower, uplift, and remind you of your divine purpose. Our guiding quote says:

"I don't build my name or strive for fame; I work for the kingdom, lifting His name. God's truth is my guide, and on it, I stand, sharing His love across the land."

And our scripture, Matthew 5:16, tells us:

"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

This is a call to action! This is a challenge, a responsibility, and an honor. It reminds us that our lives should reflect God's love in such a way that others see Him through us.

Your Life is a Light

Have you ever been in a pitch-black room and then lit a single candle? That one tiny flame transforms the darkness. It doesn't take away all the shadows at once, but it makes a difference. In the same way, your faith, your kindness, your love—no matter how small they may seem—are enough to brighten the space around you.

I remember a man who worked in a small diner. He wasn't famous. He didn't have a huge social media following. But every person who came in felt the warmth of God through him. He greeted people with kindness, spoke life into those who were struggling, and went the extra mile for his customers. Over the years, people began to notice that this was no ordinary man—he carried something special. What was it? The light of Christ!

Family, you don't have to stand on a stage, have a big title, or be in the spotlight to make an impact. Your life is your ministry. The way you love, the way you serve, the way you forgive—these things reflect the heart of God.

Overcoming the Temptation for Self-Glory

We live in a world that teaches us to make a name for ourselves. Social media tells us to seek followers, likes, and recognition. But Jesus teaches us something different. He says, "Whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant." (Matthew 20:26).

When you shine your light, it's not about lifting yourself up—it's about pointing people to Jesus. Our prayer should always be, "Lord, let them see You in me." When you operate in this mindset, you remove the burden of striving for success in man's eyes and instead focus on fulfilling God's purpose.

God's Truth is Your Foundation

The quote says, "God's truth is my guide, and on it, I stand." That means we don't stand on our emotions, the opinions of others, or what the world says. We stand on God's Word.

When trials come, and they will, we don't crumble because we are standing on the Rock. When people misunderstand you, when doors close, when life doesn't go as planned, you don't lose your joy—because your foundation is Christ.

Sharing His Love Across the Land

One of the greatest ways to shine your light is through love. The love of Christ is what sets us apart. In a world filled with division, anger, and selfishness, we are called to be different.

Think about Jesus. He didn't just preach love—He lived it. He ate with sinners, healed the sick, and forgave those who hurt Him. That same love should be what people experience when they meet you.

Maybe today, you can be that light to someone in need. Maybe there's a co-worker struggling with depression, a family member who feels forgotten, or even a stranger who just needs a kind word. Don't underestimate the power of a smile, a prayer, or an act of kindness.

A Final Encouragement

Family, you are a vessel of God's glory! You don't have to chase influence, fame, or recognition—just walk in obedience. When you do, God will position you in places where your light will shine the brightest.

So, I leave you with this: Shine boldly. Love deeply. Stand firmly on His truth. And wherever you go, let people see Jesus in you.

Let's pray:

"Lord, let Your light shine through me, so that others may see Your goodness and come to know You. Let my life glorify You. Let my actions reflect Your love. Let my heart be fully surrendered to Your purpose. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Go forth and shine, family! God is using you for His glory.
