A Near-Death Experience and the Power of Faith
Someone threw a match and they didn't know I was there. And it also turned out that someone had put gasoline in the kerosene. And so the entire pile exploded. It exploded in a monumental way. I was blown up. I was shot through the air like a cannonball. I was just wearing a pair of shorts because a young guy working outside didn't wear a shirt. And so when I landed... the gasoline had splattered on the skin, on my skin, through my arm and chest. And my skin and arm or chest were still on fire. So I rolled and put myself out. And I stood and I was in shock. And, well, I was not supposed to live. It turns out the explosion was equivalent to three sticks of dynamite. But God didn't want me. I saw my life flash before my eyes that day.
Thank you, Father. Thank you.
God didn't want me. I landed, I put myself up and I stood up and I was in shock. And the first thing that went through my mind was I can't feel anything. Maybe this wasn't that bad of an injury. And then my aunt who was there looked at me and screamed and she said, “oh my God, look at you.” And so I looked down and I saw that all the skin of my body had burnt off. And then I felt the pain.
Message from Minister Ibn Ali:
Good morning, good afternoon, or good evening—wherever you are in the world, I want to thank you for tuning in today. I have a message for you that will empower, transform, and fill you with hope and strength. If you've ever felt lost in the noise of this world, struggling to find direction, unsure of what's true and what's not, I want you to lean in and listen closely—because today, we are going to talk about something unshakable, something that never changes: the voice of God and His eternal Word.
The Noise of the World vs. The Voice of God
We live in a time where opinions change by the minute. One day, society tells you to live one way; the next, it tells you something completely different. Trends come and go. What's popular today is forgotten tomorrow. If we try to find our identity in the opinions of others, we will always feel lost.
But there is something greater—something that never changes. And that is the Word of God. Isaiah 40:8 says, "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever." Did you catch that? Everything else fades, but God's truth remains. His Word is not just ancient text—it is alive, powerful, and unshakable.
A Personal Story: Finding Clarity in the Chaos
Let me share a story. There was a time in my life when I felt overwhelmed by the voices around me. People had opinions about who I should be, what I should do, how I should live. I found myself trying to keep up, trying to fit in, but the more I listened to the world, the more I lost myself. I was exhausted, drained, and directionless.
One day, in my desperation, I turned to God's Word. I opened my Bible, and the words of Psalm 119:105 jumped out at me: "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." At that moment, I realized that I had been walking in darkness, following the flickering, unreliable lights of the world when all along, God's Word had been my steady guide. I made a decision that day: I would no longer be led by trends, by culture, or by what people thought. I would be led by the voice of God.
And let me tell you—when I made that shift, everything changed. I found peace, not because life got easier, but because I was no longer swayed by the ever-changing tides of this world. I was anchored in truth.
The Power of God's Word in Your Life
Maybe you're listening right now, and you feel like you're drowning in a sea of opinions. Maybe you feel pressured to meet unrealistic expectations, to be someone you're not, to keep up with a world that never slows down. If that's you, I want you to take a deep breath and hear this: You don't have to be led by the noise. You don't have to follow the crowd. You don't have to be confused.
God's voice is clear. His Word is steady. His truth is eternal. And if you build your life on it, you will never be shaken.
Jesus said in Matthew 7:24-25, "Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock."
I want you to ask yourself: What is my life built on?
If it's built on the approval of others, on fleeting emotions, or on worldly success, it will crumble. But if it's built on God's truth, nothing—no storm, no hardship, no opinion—can tear you down.
A Call to Action: Stand Firm in Truth
Today, I challenge you: Make a decision to stand firm in God's truth. Open your Bible. Listen to His voice. Choose His wisdom over the world's confusion. And when you do, you will walk in confidence, in strength, and in unshakable faith.
Let's end with this prayer:
"Father, let my life be grounded in Your truth, unshaken by the changing values of the world. Teach me to hear Your voice above the noise. Guide my steps, strengthen my heart, and help me to stand firm in Your Word. Amen."
My friends, stay anchored. Stay strong. And remember, in a world of noise, God's voice never ceases. Thank you for listening. Be blessed!
