Lord, Help Me to Seek Your Kingdom First

Quote: "Success isn’t gold or glitter and fame; it’s seeking His kingdom and lifting His name. I’m chasing purpose, not worldly cheer, ‘cause His blessings follow when I draw near."

Scripture: Matthew 6:33: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Prayer: Lord, help me to seek Your kingdom first, trusting that everything else will follow. Amen.

Message from Minister Ibn Ali

Welcome, friends, to tonight's episode. I'm so glad you're here because I believe this message will speak directly to your heart. It's about realigning our focus, shifting our vision, and understanding what true success really means. Let's start with this thought:

"Success isn't gold or glitter and fame; it's seeking His kingdom and lifting His name. I'm chasing purpose, not worldly cheer, 'cause His blessings follow when I draw near."

That's something I wrote down recently while reflecting on where my life has been and where God is taking me. Let me tell you a story from my own life to set the stage.

Not too long ago, I found myself in a season where I was chasing the wrong things. I had goals, sure—dreams of success and accomplishments. But my focus wasn't quite right. I was consumed with the world's definition of success: bigger platforms, more recognition, and achievements that looked good on the outside. And yet, in the midst of it all, I felt this gnawing emptiness. Something was missing.

One night, I was sitting in my room, completely exhausted from striving, and I heard that still, small voice: "Seek first My kingdom. Just come back to Me."

It hit me like a ton of bricks. I had been trying to do it all on my own—leaning on my strength, chasing my dreams—but I wasn't rooted in Him. That night, I opened my Bible and came across Matthew 6:33:

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

It was a moment of clarity. I realized I didn't have to chase the world's version of success. God was calling me to chase Him instead—to align my purpose with His will, to lift His name above my own, and to trust that He would take care of the rest. And let me tell you something: when I shifted my focus to seeking His kingdom, my life began to change in ways I couldn't have imagined.

Now, that doesn't mean life suddenly became easy or that all my problems disappeared. But there was a peace and a sense of purpose that filled my heart—a confidence that no matter what I was facing, God was with me, guiding me, and providing exactly what I needed in His perfect timing.

Maybe you're in a season right now where you're striving, hustling, and feeling like you're coming up short. Maybe you've been chasing dreams, but they feel just out of reach, or you've been measuring your worth by the world's standards. If that's where you are, let me remind you: success isn't in gold, glitter, or fame. It's in seeking His kingdom, lifting His name, and trusting Him with the outcome.

God doesn't call us to exhaust ourselves trying to achieve worldly success. He calls us to draw near to Him, to walk in obedience, and to chase purpose over profit. And here's the beautiful part: when we seek Him first, the blessings follow. It might not look like what the world defines as "success," but it will be exactly what we need.

Think about it. When you align your vision with God's purpose, doors begin to open that you couldn't have opened on your own. Opportunities arise, not because you chased them, but because you were walking in step with Him. And the best part? You'll find joy, peace, and fulfillment that no amount of worldly success can give you.

So tonight, I want to challenge you to reflect on your own life. What are you chasing? Where is your focus? Are you striving for things that will fade, or are you seeking His kingdom and trusting that He'll provide everything you need?

Let's go back to that scripture one more time: "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

It's a promise. When we put Him first, everything else falls into place. Maybe not in the way we expect, but always in the way we need.

Let's close with a prayer together:

Lord, help me to seek Your kingdom first, trusting that everything else will follow. Teach me to walk in obedience, to lift Your name above my own, and to align my purpose with Your will. I surrender my plans and my striving to You, knowing that Your ways are higher and better than mine. Thank You for Your faithfulness and for the blessings that come when I draw near to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

As you go about your week, remember this: you don't have to do it all on your own. You don't have to chase after the world's definition of success. Chase God instead. Seek His kingdom. Lift His name. And trust that as you do, He'll take care of the rest.

You've got this, my friends. Not because of your strength, but because of His. So go out there and live with purpose, walk in faith, and shine His light in everything you do.

Until next time, stay blessed.

Ibn Ali (nephew of the original GOAT - Muhammad Ali) and Attorney Tom Renz have launched a ministry based on their mutual love and respect for Jesus Christ and recognition that to love Christ is to fight for him. These warriors believe it is their duty to bring the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to all people - sinners and saints. Our ministry will partner with and work with all churches and all people to promote the word of God.

We encourage people to join our ministry and also to become more active in your own church. Our ministry maintains the following firmly held religious beliefs:

1. JESUS CHRIST IS THE SON OF GOD AND THROUGH HIM YOU MAY FIND SALVATION.

2. FREEDOM IS INHERENT TO ALL PEOPLE.

3. FREEDOM COMES FROM EQUAL TREATMENT AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY UNDER THE LAW.

4. MANKIND IS MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD.

5. CHILDREN ARE SACRED.

6. NO FOOD SHOULD BE CONSUMED THAT HAS BEEN EXPOSED TO UNNATURAL GENE THERAPIES.

7. WAR IS MORALLY WRONG UNLESS IT IS DONE IN SELF DEFENSE OR IN SUPPORT OF GOD’S COMMANDS.

8. VACCINES CREATED INVOLVING ABORTED FETAL CELLS, ANY FOREVER CHEMICALS/MATERIALS OR ANY GENETIC MATERIAL ARE MORALLY WRONG AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN.

Our intent is to support our members in each of these - as well as other - critical issues. If there are forced vaccinations in the future, we will stand up. When bad people try and push pornography in schools or other such ideals we will fight back. When freedom is threatened we will speak out. If you support our views please join us.
