Daily Message from Minister Ibn Ali
"Putting Principles Over Profit: A Life Aligned with God"
Good day, everyone. I'm excited and honored to share a powerful message with you today, a message rooted in timeless wisdom, strength, and faith. I want you to take a deep breath, clear your mind, and open your heart to what God wants to reveal to you right now. This is a message about priorities, purpose, and unwavering integrity—a reminder that when we prioritize God's kingdom, everything else falls into place."
Introduction: Let's begin with a powerful quote from a man who wasn't just a champion in the ring but a champion of principles: my uncle, Muhammad Ali. He once said, 'My principles are more important than the money or my title.' Think about that for a moment. This man, who could have had everything—fame, fortune, power—chose his principles over all else. He chose his values over the world's treasures. Now, let's pair that with the words from the book of Matthew 6:33: 'But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.'
Unpacking the Message: In both of these statements, there is a profound truth about priorities. Jesus, in His words, challenges us to seek first God's kingdom and righteousness, not to pursue wealth or titles or fleeting status. And here is a champion like Muhammad Ali echoing that same sentiment—principles over profit, values over vanity. These words challenge us to question where our focus truly lies and what we're genuinely living for.
Reflecting on Our Own Lives: Now, let's reflect for a moment on our own lives. How often do we chase after things that don't truly matter? How many times have we prioritized money, status, or comfort over what we know is right? Maybe we've taken shortcuts, compromised our integrity, or stayed silent when we should've spoken up. We've all been there. The world tells us that success looks like a bigger paycheck, a bigger house, or a prestigious title, but does it really? Or could it be that true success is a life in alignment with our values, a life that seeks first the kingdom of God?
Seeking First the Kingdom: Matthew 6:33 doesn't say, 'Seek success, then everything else will come.' It doesn't say, 'Seek fame, and you'll be fulfilled.' It says, 'Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.' This means that when we put God first, when we prioritize integrity, kindness, humility, and faithfulness, the rest will come. God provides. He knows our needs. And He promises that if we walk in His ways, He will take care of everything else.
It's not easy to live this way. We live in a world that pulls us in every direction, a world that rewards shortcuts and praises those who chase after worldly gain. But Jesus challenges us to walk a different path—a path of faith and unwavering principles. My uncle Muhammad Ali knew this well. He understood that being true to his principles meant more than any amount of money or any title he could ever win.
A Life That Inspires Change: Imagine for a moment what your life could look like if you put God first in everything you do. What if you prioritized prayer and integrity in every decision? What if you cared more about living a life of purpose than a life of prominence? This is what God is calling us to. He wants us to be champions—not necessarily of titles and trophies, but champions of faith, love, and truth.
Picture yourself standing in front of God one day, reflecting on your life. Will He find someone who sought the temporary rewards of the world or someone who faithfully pursued His kingdom and His righteousness? He doesn't ask us to be perfect, but He does call us to prioritize Him. He wants us to seek His guidance in everything, to trust that His way is better, even when the world tells us otherwise.
Prayerful Closing: As we come to the end of this message, let's ask God to give us the strength to choose His way, to place our principles above profit, and our integrity above titles. Let's pray together:
"Lord, help me to prioritize my principles and integrity over worldly gain. Let me seek Your kingdom and righteousness above all else. Remind me, Lord, that when I walk in Your ways, I am truly free, truly fulfilled, and truly victorious. Help me to live a life that reflects Your love and truth, to be a light in a world that needs it so desperately. Amen."
Challenge to the Audience: As you step into the rest of your day, remember this: true victory doesn't come from wealth or recognition but from a life aligned with God's purpose. This week, I challenge you to make one decision that prioritizes your principles over personal gain. It could be as simple as showing kindness when it's easier to turn away, speaking truth when it's uncomfortable, or putting time aside to seek God's will in prayer. Whatever it is, let this act be your stand, your commitment to living a life of integrity.
When we live this way, friends, God shows up. He moves mountains, opens doors, and provides in ways we couldn't have imagined. So seek His kingdom, seek His righteousness, and trust that He will take care of the rest. Go out, live boldly, and may the world see God's love and truth through you. Amen
